Keywords:
Islamic Education, Responsibility Character, Contextual LearningAbstract
Islamic education plays a significant role in shaping students’ character, particularly in fostering the value of responsibility. This study employs a qualitative method with a literature review approach to analyze the role of Islamic education in instilling responsibility through learning processes, teacher modeling, positive habituation, and curriculum integration. The findings indicate that Islamic education not only provides theoretical understanding of responsibility but also promotes internalization of values through real-life experiences, social interactions, and a supportive school environment. The holistic application of Islamic educational strategies develops students who are independent, disciplined, integrity-driven, and capable of positive social interactions. These results affirm that Islamic education is effective as a comprehensive vehicle for character development, integrating moral, spiritual, and social aspects.
