This study aims to examine strategies for developing religious literacy in Islamic education that are relevant and adaptive to the challenges of the digital era. In the modern context, religious literacy is not only related to the ability to understand traditional religious texts but also includes the skill of filtering religious information widely disseminated through digital media. The method used in this study is a library research study sourced from various scientific literature, policy reports, and case studies related to religious literacy practices in developing countries. The results show that strengthening religious literacy requires a holistic approach and evidence-based interventions involving cross-sector actors, such as the government, educators, religious leaders, and the media. The use of information technology must be balanced with a responsive curriculum, ICT-based teacher training for religious students, and the involvement of digital communities and families. The impact of this strategy is expected to shape religious, critical, and digitally competent students, while strengthening religious moderation amidst the flood of unverified religious content. This research contributes to the development of a contextual and applicable model of religious literacy in Islamic education in the digital era
