Abstract

This study aims to explore the paradigm of humanistic-religious English language education as a framework for character development in the era of globalization. The research employs a literature analysis method, systematically examining previous studies and theoretical perspectives related to the integration of moral, spiritual, and humanistic values in English language teaching. The findings reveal a significant transformation in the orientation of English education from a mere communication tool to a means of shaping global identity and moral awareness. The study highlights that the combination of humanism and religiosity provides a strong philosophical foundation for forming learners with both intellectual and moral integrity. Furthermore, the integration of humanistic-religious values in English teaching fosters empathy, discipline, tolerance, and responsibility among students, which are essential in responding to the ethical challenges of globalization. The impact of this research lies in its contribution to the development of a value-based curriculum design and teacher competence enhancement, emphasizing character formation alongside linguistic skills. This paradigm not only supports cultural resilience in developing countries but also encourages future educational policies grounded in moral and spiritual values
