Abstract

Studies on science in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW continue to evolve in line with advances in modern science. Hadith, as a source of Islamic teachings, not only contains spiritual and moral guidance, but also contains references to natural phenomena, health, and human life. This study aims to examine the concept of science in the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and analyze its relevance to the development of modern science through a library research approach. The research data was obtained from hadith books, tafsir, scientific books, and journal articles relevant to the study theme. Data analysis was conducted using thematic analysis to identify patterns, themes, and meanings of scientific references in the hadith. The results of the study show that the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad SAW contain scientific references that are in line with modern scientific facts, but are not intended as technical scientific explanations. This harmony shows the harmony between revelation and human reason. This study emphasizes that the study of science in hadith must be carried out carefully, contextually, and moderately so as not to fall into excessive interpretation.
