DINAMIKA INKARUSSUNNAH DI INDONESIA: TINJAUAN HISTORIS-FENOMENOLOGIS DARI MASA KLASIK KE ERA MODERN

The Sunnah is a crucial foundation of Islamic teachings, yet its authority faces persistent challenges from the Inkarussunnah movement. While theoretical frameworks regarding Sunnah rejecters exist, a research gap remains in linking its historical evolution to specific manifestations in Indonesia. This study aims to trace the transformation of Inkarussunnah from the classical to the modern era and analyze its unique characteristics in Indonesia. Employing a qualitative-descriptive library research method, this study integrates historical and phenomenological approaches to uncover the motives behind the rejection of Hadith authority. Findings reveal that Inkarussunnah evolved from sporadic classical theological debates into organized modern socio-intellectual movements centered on rationalization. In Indonesia, this phenomenon was driven by figures such as Dalimi Lubis and Nazwar Syamsu through the claim of iktifā’ bil-Qur’ān. Crucially, this rejection triggers an epistemological crisis and fundamental alterations in worship practices, which inherently contradict the Qur'anic mandate of obedience to the Prophet
