PERAN MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH (MI) DALAM MEMPERKUAT MODERASI BERAGAMA DI ERA SOCIETY 5.0

Amidst the dynamics of technological and social developments in the Society 5.0 era, Islamic elementary education through Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) has a strategic responsibility in shaping a young generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also mature in the values of religious moderation. Religious moderation is an urgent need to face potential intolerance, social polarization, and the challenges of globalization of values, so it must be integrated early in the education system. This article aims to comprehensively examine the role of MI in strengthening religious moderation in the Society 5.0 era, highlighting challenges, opportunities, and relevant and applicable strategies. Through a literature review and thematic analysis, the discussion focuses on how MI can pioneer the instillation of the values of tolerance, inclusion, and harmony amidst rapid digital transformation. The results of this study are expected to contribute to the development of educational policies and the strengthening of religious moderation at the elementary level, so that MI remains adaptive and relevant to the demands of the times.
