PEMBACAAN DEKONSTRUKSI ATAS ISLAM NUSANTARA PERSPEKTIF JACQUES DERRIDA
Keywords:
Islam Nusantara, Deconstruction, Jacques DerridaAbstract
Islam Nusantara is intended to serve as an inclusive framework for Indonesia’s diverse Muslim communities. However, in practice, this narrative has drawn criticism and even rejection from various groups. This study examines the discourse of Islam Nusantara through Jacques Derrida’s deconstructive lens to address the research gap concerning the limited philosophical–textual analyses that explore the structure of meaning and the epistemic dynamics of the concept. This research is a literature-based study of relevant academic works and scholarly articles. The findings indicate that Islam Nusantara operates as a provisional discourse containing internal contradictions that may shift its legitimacy toward dogmatization. This study offers a creative reading through deconstructive strategies that open space for the emergence of new interpretations, enabling the discourse of Islam Nusantara to move beyond the constraints of interpretive objectivity.
