This study aims to analyze the improvement in students’ learning outcomes through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in general journal material for Grade XI students at SMA Negeri 19 Palembang. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach conducted in three learning cycles, consisting of the stages of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects comprised 36 students. Data were collected through learning achievement tests administered in each cycle and were analyzed using the class average scores and the percentage of classical learning mastery. The results indicate that the application of the PBL model gradually improved students’ learning outcomes, as reflected by the classical mastery percentage of 69.44% in Cycle I, increasing to 80.55% in Cycle II, and reaching 86.11% in Cycle III, thereby meeting the predetermined classical mastery criterion of 85%. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Problem-Based Learning model is effective in improving students’ learning outcomes in general journal material
