Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in economics education, specifically in the subject of Banks and Non-Bank Financial Institutions in Grade X at SMA Negeri 11 Palembang. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach and data collection techniques in the form of observation and documentation during the learning process. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that the application of PBL can increase student activity, participation, and understanding. Students were actively involved in discussions, worked together in groups, thought critically, and were able to relate learning concepts to everyday economic phenomena, making the learning process more meaningful.
