Abstract

School counseling is a crucial element in supporting the holistic development of students. This article explores the relationship between philosophy and counseling practice, emphasizing how philosophical principles, such as humanism, existentialism, and ethics, shape counseling approaches. By adopting a holistic perspective, school counseling aims to understand students holistically, encourage independence, and address the various issues they face. Despite challenges such as stigma and limited resources, integrating philosophy into school counseling can optimize support for students. This article emphasizes the importance of philosophical understanding in creating an educational environment that supports student well-being and character development.
