The rapid development of sharia-based investment instruments has not been fully accompanied by a high level of students’ interest in investing in sharia stocks, indicating the need to examine the factors influencing such interest. This study aims to analyze the effects of financial literacy, investment knowledge, and motivation on the investment interest of students at Universitas Islam Sumatera Utara (UISU) in sharia stocks. The research data were collected from 71 respondents through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²) with the assistance of SPSS. The results reveal that investment knowledge and investment motivation have a positive and significant effect on students’ interest in investing in sharia stocks, while financial literacy does not show a significant partial effect. However, simultaneously, all three variables significantly influence investment interest, with an R² value of 0.453, indicating that approximately 45.3% of the variation in investment interest can be explained by the proposed model. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening investment knowledge and motivation among students as strategic efforts to enhance participation in the sharia stock market.
